Sessions: What to Expect

THE CONSULT

We’ll go over the details of the process and address any questions or concerns you might have. This gives you the chance to make sure you get exactly what you want, and for me to customize your session just for you. I’ll cover what to expect, full pricing, payment plan info and other logistics on this call. At the end of this call, you’ll get a chance to schedule your session date and get on our calendar.

THE SESSION

Once you have booked your session, I’ll send you lots of information to help you prepare for the shoot.

This is your time, and our goal is to make the session the perfect session for you.

THE REVEAL

Your Reveal and ordering session takes place 1-2 weeks after the session. Once the best photos have been selected and edited, you’ll get to see them for the first time.

At the end of the shoot, you select the ones you want and order your products. Here you can choose your digital package or album package. You can see and touch our album samples and imagine your images in them.

THE PRODUCTS

After about 2-4 weeks following your Reveal session (or your final payment), you’ll receive your products.

You’ve seen your photos on screen, but for my clients, seeing their photos in print for the first time, being able to touch and hold them, is an incredible experience. Whether you choose to order a handcrafted leather or linen album, or large wall prints, your products will bring you joy for decades to come.

need tips?

Relax! I'll be there to guide you and watch to make sure you are doing poses that flatter your body shape against the lighting, angles, and background. All you have to do is select your outfit, do your prep (which these lovely tips will help with) and show up! ~Shaun Finette Photography

*Keep in mind that Creative Directors (CDs) are an excellent addition. CDs not only add an extra layer of creativity, but also help to make sure the session is running smoothly. They not only assist with lighting, holding props, etc., but also helps grab fun behind the scenes shots that are a great addition to your photo session collection. Ask for details if you are interested in this added perk!

General Tips:

-Glasses – If folks wouldn’t recognize you without glasses, you want to wear glasses in your shoot – however, the glare on glasses can detract from your eyes in photos. It may be possible to have your eye doctor loan you a pair of similar glasses or have your lenses removed from your frames for your shoot.

-Teeth – If you want to brighten your smile, it's best to start your treatments about two weeks before your shoot.

-Facial Care- If you are prone to blemishes and/or breakouts, you will want to plan ahead and take extra care to follow a care regimen about a week before the session to reduce pimples.

-Shaving-Any facial hair maintenance, including eyebrows trimming, should be done a couple days prior to eliminate bumps and redness.

-Moisturize-Lips and Body!- Don't forget your lip balm! We'd love to see your pretty smile and protect it against the elements, especially if you're prone to licking your lips. Don't forget the hand/body lotion the day of! Dry skin would be very difficult to edit out. If you are booking a maternity session, moisturize that beautiful tummy!

-High School Seniors-Bring props that will help you recount your fun high school years! Just be yourself! This is your chance to let your personality shine through.
